Tupper Lake has great local mountains definitely worth climbing. Coney Mt., Mt. Arab, and Goodman Mt. are part of the Tupper Lake Triad group. If golf is your game, you can enjoy the challenge of Tupper Lake's Magnificent Donald Ross designed 18 hole course with it's rolling hills and breathtaking vista's. We're also close to lots of bird watching bogs and preserves, or mountain bike our back country trails.

Tupper Lake has an awesome groomed scenic nordic trail system or you can try one of the many nearby trails in the forest. Titus Mt. and Whiteface are just a drive's distance away as well as Lake Placid, the Olympic Village. For the avid snowmobiler Shaheen's Adirondack Inn has direct trail access; so park in front of your room and ride to the trails with ease.
In the spring months you can awaken your canoe, grab your fishing pole, get out those hiking boots again, or just admire the blossoms and vista the Adirondack's has to offer. Fall months are spectacular bursting with colors of the changing foliage; don't forget to bring your camera!
Shaheen's is close to restaurants and shopping and you can even walk to the WILD CENTER and the new WILD WALK. We're just a short distance from the business section of the Tupper Lake Village with it's interesting shops and stores. You will also find that the movie theater, brew pubs, library, bowling alley, and churches are all very convenient.
